Overview: Under the general supervision of the Department Chair of Cinema and Television Arts (CTVA) and the delegated direct supervision of the Associate Chair of Production, the CTVA Production Coordinator ensures prompt and efficient production workflow for scripted and non-fiction student productions. Interfacing daily with students, faculty, and staff in the department, college, and university, as well as outside vendors, the CTVA Production Coordinator helps students ensure the professional, safe, and timely production of their projects, serving as the fulcrum for communication, paperwork administration, and project tracking for CTVA student productions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a job-related field. Additional experience in a job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year-to-year basis. Highly Desired: Two years of progressively responsible experience working with professional film and/or television productions providing production management and/or accounting.

Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with, and knowledge of, current film and television production practices, particularly with project tracking, cost tracking, and payment workflows. Excellent organizational skills, creating, keeping, and utilizing spreadsheets and databases to track multiple productions and production schedules, and milestones. Experience with production budgeting, scheduling, accounting, and professional tools and software, such as Movie Magic Budgeting, Movie Magic Scheduling, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign, and box. Experience tracking revenue and expenses, as well as processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments. Excellent, clear, prompt, and courteous communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex processes to students who are learning production. Participate in training sessions for students, alongside administration and faculty. Ability to gracefully balance the needs of students, faculty, staff, and administration. Capacity to understand and comply with university and department policy and procedures, and to explain and enforce these with students and staff.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).

The anticipated hiring range: $30.00/ hour

Full Pay range: $22.29/hour to $35.03/hour

Time Base: Part-Time - 20hrs/week
