Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
Why you’ll love this position:This is a fast-paced position within the Section for Long-Term Care Regulation's Licensure Unit offering opportunities for professional growth. You will be part of a team that processes all licensure applications for long term care facilities. You will work with a group of dedicated professionals performing long-term care regulatory functions for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Review new, relicensure, and change of operator applications for operating long term care facilities in Missouri.
- Review the current financial information to ensure financial solvency of the operator.
- Review bonds, management contracts, mortgages, warranty deeds and leases to ensure they are current.
- Contact long term care facility operators or their designated contacts to obtain additional information.
- Use EXCEL and Access database to track the application processes for long term care facilities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed)
- Ability to analyze information using attention to detail on each application
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills- while maintaining professionalism with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders
- You will be working in a multi-team member environment which requires the ability to work independently or as a team
- Ability to meet deadlines/timeframes
- Ability to apply and adapt accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Program
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
