Position DescriptionMaintains and analyzes data retrieved from interrogation of implanted pacemakers, Implanted Cardiac Defibrillators (ICD) and Implanted Loop Recorders (ILR) and prepares preliminary reports for the electrophysiologist/cardiologist(s). Programs pacemaker and Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (AICD) devices under the direct supervision of an electrophysiologist/cardiologist(s). Maintains cardiac device remote monitoring program including scheduling and analyzing transmissions. Maintains process for manufacturer recalls and follows recall requirements under direction of Electrophysiological (EP) director.
Major/Essential Functions- perform interrogation and thorough evaluation of implantable cardiac devices to assess battery life, proper device function and programmed settings to assure appropriate interaction of implanted cardiac devices and the patient's intrinsic cardiac activity as prescribed by patient needs and as directed by attending physicians.
- This position allows for minimal work from home when working on remote device clinic scheduling and remote charges.
- Employee must be present for physician clinics and scheduled device clinics. Some hospital device checks may be required.
Required QualificationsCurrent RN license in the state of Texas or Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART). Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position AND 3 years of experience in cardiac arrhythmia management services or EP Lab. OR High School Diploma or GED AND 5 years of experience in cardiac arrhythmia management services or EP lab. (May be combined 5 years of experience in EP lab and Cardia arrhythmia management services).
