Position DescriptionThe IT Support Technician IV's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware and software relevant to the department or unit, and manage area or unit IT projects in support of business operations.
Major/Essential Functions- Monitor and develop the Adobe products and maintain licensing agreements with Adobe.
- Administrative tasks (time sheets, leave requests, reports, etc.)
- Provide guidance for peers on research of advanced technologies with emphasis on any advanced training and/or group knowledge distribution.
- Consults with management and assists peers in correcting/removing outdated policies and procedures as directed.
- Maintains accurate and timely work logs.
- Works as needed with other IT departments to ensure consistent delivery of IT services for customers.
- Responsible for execution and oversight of projects that exceed standard break-fixes and work orders.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal nine (9) years.
