What's this Job All About? The Staff Services Analyst II role with Behavioral Health Services supports critical mental health and substance use programs in Colusa County. You'll handle data analysis, State Reporting and program evaluation to help ensure services run smoothly and meet community and State needs. Staff Services Analyst II is the journey level in the series and, under general supervision, is responsible for performing at the journey level, working independently, performing the full range of duties. It differs from the Senior Staff Services Analyst in that the Latter either supervises technical staff and other analysts, or they are given highly specialized and complex assignments consisting of department-wide responsibilities.
This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate data reporting and tracking to support the efficiency and accountability of Behavioral Health programs.

- Performs duties independently at the journey level.
Qualifications Staff Services Analyst II EitherOne (1) year of experience in the Interagency Merit System performing duties comparable to Staff Services Analyst I.
OR One (1) year of professional experience performing either general administrative, personnel, fiscal, program analysis, or staff development work.
AndA Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Note: Additional professional experience performing either general administrative, personnel, fiscal, staff development, or program analysis work (depending upon the option recruited for) may substitute for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Supplemental Information Based on a 37.5 work week Staff Services Analyst II: $5,085 - $8,338 The salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.
Government agencies accessing US government information, which includes federal tax information, must ensure that background investigation requirements for all agency employees and contractors who have access to federal tax information are consistent with the IRS background investigation requirements for access to federal tax information. A background check may be required if the position requires access to these types of records. Background requirements consist of three components, which include fingerprinting, citizenship verification, and local law enforcement checks. State agencies must investigate at the time of hire and ensure a reinvestigation is conducted 10 years from the date of the previous background investigation for each employee who has access to federal tax information.
