Description
The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) seeks an
Evidence Based Services Specialist. This position is domiciled in
St. Louis. The position will provide technical assistance to behavioral health programs in identified evidence-based practices including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders (ITCD), and Individual Placement and Support (IPS). This position will work closely with colleagues across all DBH programs including providing trainings and understanding of monitoring functions.
This position requires travel and overnight stays as necessary.
The base salary offered for this position is up to $52,728.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.
- Participate in the planning, coordinating, implementing, and leading evidence-based practice fidelity reviews for ACT, ITCD, DBT, and IPS utilizing established protocols.
- Report writing within required timeframes.
- Provide technical support and training for evidence-based practices.
- Participate in evidence-based practice reading, training, conference calls, and webinars.
- Develop evidence-based practice training materials and present PowerPoint presentations.
- Lead evidence-based practice provider calls.
- Develop and update evidence-based practice materials.
- Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of specialized treatment programs and services.
- Collaborate on projects and complete other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field or 1-3 years of progressive professional experience.
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical area, with experience in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental illness is preferred.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of evidence-based practices and possess strong writing skills. Sound judgement and strong independent decision-making skills are needed to be successful in this role.
