POSITION SUMMARY

This is a professional position supporting a designated department by conducting surveys and performing research and statistical analyses; coordinating and participating in organizational studies; developing recommendations based on findings; and directing and executing large scale performance and process improvement programs. The position supports the management of the City's Quality Management System.

The is a classified position covered by the Personnel Rules and is in Management Category III for benefits purposes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, PREFERENCES & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, public or business administration or a closely related field Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional-level experience with analytics or performance management; executing large scale performance, process improvement or other similar projects. Additional qualifying experience or completion of coursework at an accredited college or university in a job-related field, may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience or education.Successfully complete an in-depth employment background check, including a polygraph exam, will be conducted as part of the post offer onboarding process as this position is deemed security sensitiveIf claiming Veteran's Preference, candidates must attach a DD214 Member 4 form, and the City of Fort Lauderdale's veteran's preference claim form (J-204) to the online application. Preferences: Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, public administration, sociology, statistics and research methodology or closely related field Supervisory experience and experience in law enforcement agency functions is preferred. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, SPSS, and GIS Mapping.Lean Green Belt Certification Special Requirements:
As public servants, employees may be required to work immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency. All employees must be available and able to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Heads.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The position is generally sedentary. Employees sit most of the time but may walk or stand for brief periods of time.
