Job Location: 830 MoDOT Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri

Why you’ll love this position: The Administrative Intern (General Services- Facilities Maintenance) performs routine entry-level activities in facilities management. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.

• Performs routine maintenance on building interiors, such as replacing light bulbs, switches and fuses; repairing windows and blinds; and installing floor and ceiling tile.
• Performs facility renovation, repair, and maintenance functions such as pouring and finishing concrete, roofing, painting and plastering, and installing carpet, sheetrock, and doors.
• Performs routine maintenance to plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems.
• Repairs, moves, and assembles file cabinets and furniture.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
• 30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
• Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.

Special Working Conditions:

• This is a wage, non-benefits eligible position, working no more than 1,039 hours per year.
• The typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Salary:

$18.94-$21.46 per Hour
