The Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial Library’s mission is to help prepare knowledgeable, resourceful and responsible citizens for California and the global community by facilitating active exploration, discovery, and synthesis of information. The library’s design co-locates library services with campus programs supporting student success, including writing, peer-tutoring, advising and career services, and undergraduate research.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Research and Instruction Librarian to join a collaborative team. As a faculty member in our teaching and learning focused library, the successful candidate will provide active, learner-centered information literacy instruction, research consultation, and reference service, as well as develop collections and act as a liaison to academic majors and programs to be determined. The successful candidate will also participate in programs and activities designed to promote equitable student engagement and belongingness, serve on library and university committees and participate in shared governance.

While subject areas for collection development and instruction are yet to be determined, we especially encourage applicants with experience in business and/or education librarianship to apply and to highlight these experiences in their applications. This 12-month tenure-track appointment is under the direction of the Dean of the University Library. The work schedule will include occasional evening and weekend hours. COMPENSATION:

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7,000 to $7,316* mo

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, and CSU systemwide pay for comparable jobs.
