Senior Accounts Assistant - Division of Developmental Disabilities*Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.*
Job Location: This position may be domiciled at any regional office statewide.

Job Description(s) This is an advanced vocational position accountable for maintaining specialized accounting record systems including resolving errors, balancing accounts and records, and preparing reports. Employees also help accounting staff solve technical issues. At this level, employees monitor and provide information about a variety of fiscal areas (e.g. grants, budgets, benefits, etc.) and analyze transactions to determine if complete accounting entries are accurate. Incumbents are also accountable for reviewing and processing complicated or contested transactions (e.g. payroll, account receivable/payable, travel expenses, collections, etc.)
Primary Responsibilities: - Ensure facility bills and appropriations are paid accurately, timely, and in compliance with Department and Office of Administration rules
- Process financial documents accurately and promptly utilizing appropriate systems
- Assist stakeholders with resolving issues with payment or financial documents
- Provide excellent customer service to vendors
- Other duties as assigned to assist the assigned facility
Other Requirements: - Familiarity with state statutes and policies regarding financial matters
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently to meet given timelines
- Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 20 lbs
Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
