We are seeking an entry-level database administrator to support both Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) environments. This role focuses on the operational and administrative aspects of these platforms, including database maintenance, system monitoring, performance tuning, and SSRS configuration and deployment support. While the primary focus is on SQL Server technologies, the role may also involve exposure to other database platforms as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of relational databases, T-SQL, and reporting infrastructure, along with a strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment. You'll work alongside experienced team members and have access to training and mentorship to help you build the skills needed to support enterprise-level data and reporting systems. A detail-oriented, organized, and proactive approach to work is essential.



This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Knowledge of database management tools, reporting, structure/design, and query languages. Knowledge of how data structure/design affects network performance. Ability to learn and apply technical-related concepts. Ability to follow technical directions. Ability to problem-solve and apply analytical skills in resolving data issues.
