Description
Summary of positionThe Accounting Technician position performs a variety of technical accounting duties involving the accounting, budgeting, recording and reporting of financial transactions for the City; and to provide technical assistance to higher level accounting staff.
Minimum qualifications
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance of financial and related statistical records, preferably in a municipal finance environment.
Training:
Equivalent to an associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting or a related field.
