Job Summary

Make a splash with the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department! We are recruiting Lifeguards for the Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center (operates year-round) and the Greenville Outdoor Aquatic Center (operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day). This position will maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool, respond to emergencies as needed, assist with groups using the facility, and perform basic cleaning and water testing duties.

Minimum Age: 16 years old, at the time of application
Pay Rate: $14.75 an hour
Hours: 20-40 hours per week with hours ranging from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday - Saturday
Requirements:

• Must hold a current certification in Lifeguard with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
• Must attend monthly training to maintain a high level of rescue skill proficiency.
• Water Safety Instructor preferred.

Examples of Duties

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Maintain the safety of patrons in and around the pool;
• Respond to emergencies as needed;
• Assist with groups using the facilities, basic cleaning, and water testing;
• Enforce facility rules;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits.

Salary:

$14.75 Hourly
