Division Overview:

The Central Services Division (CSD) team works in partnership with agency divisions providing coaching on human resource policies and procedures, financial management and adherence to fiscal responsibility. We value and respect our fellow team members across the Montana Department of Justice.

Motor Vehicle Division's (MVD) mission is to identify and promote efficient, cost-effective programs that benefit the interests, safety, and well-being of Montana citizens. This occurs through licensing, registering, and regulating the motoring activities of the public. Job Overview:

The Administrative Officer position for the Department of Justice Motor Vehicle Division provides a range of professional services and resource allocations including budgeting and fiscal management, revenue reconciliation and reporting, and a variety of other duties in support of ongoing Division operations and activities. The Administrative Officer will be a key member of the management team so the ability to evaluate operations, make guided and accurate decisions, and plan for long range projects and operations is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform successfully in this position, the incumbent must be self-motivated; possess a strong work ethic; and maintain a positive attitude. Strong communication skills are required. The incumbent is expected to make decisions based on the relative costs and benefits of potential actions; resolve operational issues; elevate matters as necessary; recommend solutions; and effectively implement division changes and management directives. The incumbent is required to exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.

The position requires knowledge of the concepts and theories of business management principles; basic accounting principles and practices; operational and program budgeting and revenue projection techniques; customer services standards; effective business communication strategies; and inventory control.
