Description
DescriptionUnder general direction, organizes, implements, and manages complex department programs or projects including the development and implementation of program goals and elements; may supervise professional, technical and clerical staff; and performs related work as assigned.
Representative DutiesThe following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of the position's essential duties. They are descriptive, not limiting.
Essential Duties: Defines objectives and scope of projects including but not limited to goals, benefits, deliverables, boundaries, estimated costs, timetables; Creates project documentation including but not limited to scope statements, work breakdown structures, status reports, and project schedules; Identifies and acquires resources required for projects;
Ensures effective communication between stakeholders, including executive management and other City departments;
Facilitates project meetings, documents project decisions, progress, and next steps; Ensures completion of deliverables report progress of work and coordinates/facilitates tasks to meet project deadlines; Writes, reviews, and evaluates technical documentation related to specific projects, project or change management.

- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, or a related field AND
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible work in the development and implementation of programs, including experience in employee supervision or project team oversight OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the capabilities to perform the described job duties
- Possession of a valid California Class “C” driver’s license
Examination (Weighted: 100%) (Weighted 100%): April 8, 2026 (Tentative) An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
