This is a full-time, on-site role for a Master Detention Deputy based in North Charleston, SC. The Master Detention Deputy will be responsible for ensuring the
safety, security, and welfare of inmates, staff, and visitors within the detention facility.

- enforcing facility rules and regulations
- conducting inspections
- responding to emergencies
This role requires maintaining professional conduct, accurate documentation of incidents, and effective communication with team members and other law enforcement agencies. All Master Detention Deputies will be trained in Housing and Specialist Units.
We are hiring experienced professionals for the following specialized teams:- Emergency Response Team (ERT)
- Processing (Intake, Transport, Court, and Classification)
- Security (Control, Lobby, and Fingerprinting)
- Administrative Services (Training and Programs)
- Juvenile & Housing
- Security Threat Group (STG) / Gang Intelligence

$54,890 - $64,321 (based on experience). Additional overtime (1.5x pay) is currently available!

Schedule of Rotating 12.25-Hour Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. Day shift 5:45am - 6:00pm and Night shift 5:45pm - 6:00am. Rotate day/night shift every 90 days.

Mandatory overtime is currently in place, requiring one (1) additional shift per pay period. You will receive your schedule 1 year in advance! *Please note that all mandated overtime obligations will pertain exclusively to Housing operations. •
A FREE meal is provided every shift!! This saves you approximately $2,520 a year! (168 working shifts x $15/meal)

Minimum Qualifications- MinimumQualifications: T o get started, you'll need to be:
- A South Carolina licensed driver or the ability to obtain a South Carolina driver’s license
- Have no criminal convictions
• Honorably discharged from military (if applicable)
Must be currently Detention/Correction certified with the following education and experience: - High School or GED and 10 years or more of Detention/Correctional experience
or- Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours or 4 years military and 7 years or more of Detention/Correction experience
or- Bachelor’s Degree or 7 years military and four years or more of Detention/Correctional experience.
or- Master’s Degree and 4 years of Detention/Correction experience.
