Under the direction of the Development Services Director, the Administrative Services Manager is responsible for assisting the Department with administrative and financial oversight, visioning, leadership, planning, coordinating and control. This position manages and supervises administrative personnel within the Department.
Examples of DutiesIN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL: - Manage office, including supervising, assigning duties, monitoring workloads, training and counseling, conducting office meetings and developing and coordinating office procedures within the office and with other departments.
- Assist in providing daily budgetary management including monitoring budget vs. actual results and requesting budget amendments as necessary; manage the annual budget process; prepare documents and make recommendations. Collaborate with Managers, and related staff to review, analyze, and clarify budget document submissions. Prepare required budget documents and attend budget meetings.
- Compose and review requests for legislative action items; gather backup data for submission with forms; compile fiscal analysis data and prepare documents for Town Council or Boards and Commission meetings.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Coordinate public records request responses, act as the department's record owner, and ensure compliance with record retention requirements and policies.
- Perform difficult and varied administrative support work, keeps complex records; compile data for analysis; perform related tasks to assist the Department Director with administrative duties.
Typical QualificationREQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field with five (5) years increasingly responsible professional experience working in a financial setting. Two (2) years supervisory or lead experience. The Town may consider any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements.
- Skilled in the use of personal computers and Microsoft software, including advanced Excel).
- The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment background screening.
- Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority
COMPENSATION: The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
- The expected hiring range is $72,550-$76,190.
- The full hourly range is $72,550-$101,587.
