The City of Lancaster is looking for energetic, dependable, and service-minded individuals to join our team as
Summer Lifeguards. In this role, you will help maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment by enforcing pool rules, identifying hazards, responding to emergencies, administering first aid and CPR when needed, and supporting daily pool operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Enforce all pool rules and regulations in a consistent manner
- Identify potential accident hazards and unsafe conditions
- Respond quickly, intelligently, and decisively in emergencies
- Perform rescues and provide first aid and CPR as required
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and locker rooms
- Monitor and record chemical levels
- Complete required reports and documentation
- Attend and participate in all in-service trainings
- Assist with recreation programs and special events hosted by the City
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive and professional attitude
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or ExperienceVerifiable experience in extracurricular activities at school and/or community setting. Prior work experience is not a requirement.

Salary:
$35,297.60 Annually
