Recreation Attendant - Guest Relations. This position serves as an important first point of contact for patrons by providing customer service in person, by phone, and by email, while assisting with registrations, facility reservations, recreation programs, and special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide courteous and professional customer service to patrons in person, by phone, and by email
- Answer questions and respond to requests regarding recreation and park facilities, services, and programs
- Assist with registrations, reservations, and participant processing for classes, programs, and activities
- Support recreation programs, athletic leagues, tournaments, youth activities, adult and senior programs, and special events
- Assist with event setup, supply preparation, registration entry, and cleanup activities
- Receive payments, prepare receipts and cash reports, and secure payments for processing
- Assist with equipment checkout and return while helping ensure safe use of recreation and athletic equipment
- Provide assistance in coordinating recreation and special events hosted by the City
- Perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be patient, friendly, organized, and comfortable working with the public. This person should communicate clearly, handle routine questions with professionalism, and maintain a positive attitude while supporting patrons, programs, and events. The position also calls for attention to detail, good judgment, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to remain professional during busy periods
Education and/or Experience- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available to work a schedule of up to 20 hours per week, including nights and weekends on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience with Community Pass
- At least six months of cash-handling experience
This position works primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. The work requires regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally. The selected candidate should be able to work well with the public, communicate clearly, and remain attentive for extended periods.
Salary:
$17,648.80 Annually
